Videos from Christmastime 2011
Caroline is crying in the background, since I'm holding her and the camera, but Laney just couldn't stop cracking up at her Daddy. It's so sweet.
Nana singing "Sweet Caroline," and Laney showing how much she loves it.
Laney is having a lot of fun with her new grocery cart from the Kiels. Thanks Uncle Jonathan and Aunt Corrie!
Leah brought Asher to see Laney... He cries a bit, but they play together well after he gets warmed up. It's about 3 minutes, so feel free to stop it short. I won't be offended :)
Papaw turned the TV to Gaither Homecoming and Laney started dancing to "When the Saints Go Marching In." So precious. I need to make sure Bro. Don sees this.
And finally, we have Laney making the cutest sound she knows. When you ask her what a bird says, she does this! My favorite

Christmas 2011
For some reason, these pictures wouldn't move out of the order I uploaded them, so... In no particular order:
The Wests came to us for Christmas (so nice) since Caroline wasn't even a month old.

Even Laney got to "be" a present.

First bath at home! so sweet. It was a lot less stressful than the first one I gave Laney.
I was so super proud of Barak smoking a Chrsitmas Goose for us this year! It tasted great, but I'm biased towards the glorious turkey he cooked at Thanksgiving.

Caroline: 1 month
It's been super duper fun around our house since the middle of December... Family has been here the whole time (with the exception of a few days here and there), Caroline has learned the difference between night and day, Laney has started a whining yet very adorable phase, and much much more ;)
Caroline likes to sleep with her mouth open, but still keeps a tight focus on you while you hold her. She spits up a lot, at least compared to Laney. I don't remember Laney spitting up at all, actually. Caroline has found a "crying hour" around 8 pm, but has given us some peace with sleeping between 4 and 6 hours at a time during the night.

Thanksgiving pictures!
This Thanksgiving, the family came to us. I didn't get any pictures of the meal, but it was the best yet! The turkey was smoked in Barak's new grill, and the brine was exceptional. All of the sides were made a few hours before by everyone that came, and no one was the least bit unsatisfied with the end result.
Here are some pictures of the rest of the week with the Cutrer side.

Mom and her girls, all in one place. We couldn't be happier.

Mom got Laney a baby doll so she would have something to open during Samuel's birthday party. Very thoughtful, mom.

Our tradition of raking leaves after Thanksgiving meal was not thrown away, even if Dad was the only one that got out there. However, I think he did pass it down to a future generation. A little tarp ride to entice them in, then hand 'em a rake!

Mom called it "loving," I think Samuel called it "messin with." Whatever it was, Laney thought it was hilarious. Samuel - NSM.
Another full family shot. It was so great to get everyone in one! I think this is the first time we've actually remembered to do it.

Samuel ended up in a chair, off the floor, but we still had to separate them. I seem to recall some pictures of Cassie and me eating off of each other's trays when we were little?
Miriam was so sweet - even if Laney and Samuel thought she was a bit boring :)
Upside-down is way more fun.
Everyone loves reading time.
