Easter: Meredith 8 months

Meredith scoots all around, in addition to her rolling where she wants to go. It seems like she's on the verge of crawling. She makes funny faces when we introduce new foods, but keeps on eating them. She says Dada when she sees or hears Barak, and already has two teeth on the bottom. Still a very happy baby, and plays so well with her sisters.

The baby chicks aren't babies any more. They are more like pre-teens. They have a little fuz left, but mainly have speckled red feathers. We keep them still in a large plastic bin in the kitchen, but let them outside when we can.

Caroline reading to the chickens

Laney loves to pick them up and count them.

Here's a coloring page Laney did on sproutonline.com. She's getting a lot better with real colors and paper with staying in the lines. She can trace her name really well, and use kid's scissors, too.

We love Baby Lincoln. The girls call him baby winkin.

"Wook at Sheesha, baby winkin!"

Killin time at the doctor's office. She's so glam ;) Turns out she had a virus and proceeded to give it to her sisters that next week.

Meredith 7 months

Meredith loves to play and laugh and sing... and now talk! Literally, the day after her 6 month checkup (which happened to be on her 7 month mark), she started saying dadada, mamama, nanana, etc... just a few consonants before the "ah" sound. I'm so proud of her! She also started shaking her head in a really funny way, too. Both are on the video.

This is Laney, being a tiger. I found her upstairs while Caroline was napping. She had accessorized herself in dress-up jewelry and found a green dry-erase (washable) marker to make stripes on her face.

This is her growling like a tiger :)

Linclon is 6 weeks old this week. We really enjoy going over there when we can, for a few minutes at a time, letting the girls "pet" him. Caroline says, "we have to be qwi-yet for baby winkin."

This glow worm was Laney's when she was a baby. It lights up and plays music to several songs, one of which is "Rock-a-bye Baby." Caroline calls this doll her "Bow Breaks." She also sings "tree-talk" instead of tree top.

Here is a video of the girls running in circles around the house. They do this for a good solid ten minutes at least once a day.

Here are a few pictures from this past weekend when mom and dad were here. They came Thursday and Friday, and Barak's parents were in town Friday through Sunday. Everyone had to share grandparents, but I think it worked out really well.

We used the planting kit Mom got the girls on Monday. They've already started sprouting. The girls really get into anything that has to do with dirt, so this was a hit!

Meredith 6 months

Meredith can sit up on her own, is about to start orange baby food, and smiles All. The. Time.

She is very mobile, but doesn't crawl. She rolls and rolls. She literally can cross a room in about 5 minutes.

When laney and Caroline are playing in the room, she squeals and laughs right along with them. If she's in the play saucer, she jumps like a crazy person.

We had lots of fun in the snow, this is my favorite picture from those few days. Barak took it while we had about 9 inches. The girls ate most of it :) it took about 45 minutes to get them dressed, so we were thankful Barak was off from work to play with them, since Meredith would always wake up before I could get out there.

We have all been to visit baby Lincoln since he's come home. Both girls talk about him all the time, and love to give him hugs and kisses. Laney is so shy, especially in front of a camera... We'll have to get some good ones of them all together later.

Meredith is 5 months

This post comes a little late, it seems that I have less and less time and more and more things to do.
Remember to click on the pictures to see te whole shot.

Meredith has started sitting up with a little assistance, and eats rice cereal. She experiments with makin sounds from her mouth and is still a very happy girl.

Sometimes I forget where I've put her in the house, because she's so content and relatively quiet. She takes two or three naps instead of rotating between sleep and awake now, and smiles every time you look at her.

I tried to get a normal shot with her bunny, but she wanted only to "talk" and play. So adorable.

Her smile and "Elvis" face make her seem like two different babies. That smile takes over her whole face :)

Here are a few pictures of laney and Caroline. C has been staying strong with potty time, and both girls are doing so much better with nursery/new places without mom and dad.

Laney constantly picks her toes or fingers, or has something to chew in her mouth. We're working on it ;)

Caroline is working on only sucking her thumb when she goes to bed at night. Sometimes she pretends to go to sleep wherever she is so she can try to get away with it.
