Birmingham for Mom

The whole family was able to get together for Mom's birthday/Mother's Day/she doesn't get to come to Laney's birthday party or Caroline's dedication. We stayed at Aunt Witt and Uncle Jim's and basically took over very inch of their house... and yard.

Laney and Samuel fought over toys, and the attention of grandparents.

It was a good thing "grandma witt" was there to step in. "grandpa jim" did more than his part with sharing baby time, too.

Laney and Miriam played while Samuel and Caroline were taking naps. They tickled and laughed. So super sweet.

Good odd goings on

Here's Laney and Caroline playing together a few weeks ago. It was the morning after Laney wore her Elmo pj's for the first time. She loved them so much, that when I changed her into her clothes, she wanted to bring the pj's downstairs.

She put them on top of Caroline and was talking to her like, "this is how you put on clothes." It was very cute.

Caroline: 5 months

 Our sweet Number Two is eating rice cereal like a champ. I try to do it three times a day with her, to get the routine of meals, but Laney still gags when she watches!

 She pushes around, wanting to get to toys and Laney, it makes me scared she might start crawling sooner than we thought! She can sit up longer when she's propped, too.

Laney's (nee Caroline's) elephant is her favorite toy these days. I think Jake and Susie from church got it for her. She immediately begins laughing when she sees or hears it. The legs kick up and down while it plays the ABC song, and Caroline kicks her legs along with it.
