Caroline is One

Our precious, sweet and wonderful baby has been with us a whole year now. She's motoring right along picking up new words and moves everyday. Her most endearing feature is her beautiful smiling face. Caroline has a special gift of making people feel happy. She loves to snuggle and tickle and jump jump jump!

(Good Lord she's so cute!) If she's still enough for a quick picture, its sure to be a treasure.

But when you're this happy, you just can't sit still!
This is what 1 year old's do!
WE LOOOOOOOOOOOVE YOU CAROLINE!

Christmas Program

Laney's PreSchool did a Christmas program - so adorable, and she happened to be right in the middle, standing up. I hope you love it! I almost cried when I saw it live.

Halloween

She was way more interested in the other trick-or-treaters than the camera. She kept calling them friends. "Oh, hi friends!"

She went as Tinkerbell, but since it was cold, we pulled the costume over her coat. She had a bow in, but of course it came out before we made it out the door.

Daddy was dressed as, um, a dinosaur? We had a lot of fun. Caroline was in bed by this point, and it was freezing. She didn't dress up. Sorry, Mom and Delane :)

Earlier that day... Laney climbed into the chair and wanted to touch the flowers, which she's not supposed to do. She thought I wasn't looking until...

I said her name, and she immediately gave me this look. Ha!

And here is Caroline, not dressed for Halloween, but it's the face I see all day long saying, "where's my food?!"

Caroline: 10 months

Caroline has 8 teeth now (I think, it's hard to get in there and look), can stand on her own, crawls super duper fast, and eats solid fruits and vegetables. She loves it when you walk with her, holding her hands, but nothing on her own yet.

I try to put them on the couch for the growth updates, to give you an idea of what's different. It's getting harder and harder to keep her still!

When Laney is asleep or at preschool, Caroline usually plays by herself with as many toys as possible, as if she knows she doesn't get many chances.

We love days when Daddy is home!

They were all too cute, I couldn't leave any of these shots out.

This is her usual expression/noise when she wants you to pick her up, or wants to eat.

I love this, so sweet.

I wanted to get a picture of her standing on her own, since she can now. You can't really tell since the water jug is in the way, but you can just know, I'm telling the truth. :)

Escape to Valle Crucis

We made zucchini muffins before we left. Laney called them "cupcakes."

"I did it!"

Caroline stayed in the stroller in the shade most of the time, but still laughed and had a great time.
